This is my story about buying the Toy Story Tricounty Landfill Junkyard for my children. The first time that Toy Story came out, my son was 5 years old and he truly loved it. Since then, he has been collecting different Toy Story collectibles and toys. Just a few years after, I had my second child and really enjoyed the previous films and the toys that were released.

This year, although my eldest is already turning 20 and my younger son is in his teens, they were still excited to see Toy Story 3 when it came out last summer. With that being said, they are still collecting toys and have them displayed at home. One of the toys that they really anticipated was the Toy Story Tricounty Landfill Junkyard. It is for kids 3-6, but it is also for the kids at heart.

They purchased it right after it was released, and they would let their younger cousins play with them when they visit us at home. I have a nephew that is turning 6 early next year, and he would really enjoy the Toy Story Tricounty Landfill Junkyard. He liked it so much that he asked my sister to buy him his own!

I guess I really can't blame him, as even I am entertained by this toy release. It includes three characters from Toy Story 3: Buzz, Lotso and the Three Little Green Aliens. The Toy Story Tricounty Landfill Junkyard really tickles the imagination of children as it has three levels of play that includes a giant scoop that drops items into the conveyor belts which drops the items on to the next level. At the bottom of the play set is a bulldozer. It can get exciting when there is a need to use the crane arm to safely remove the characters from the peril that they are in, much like the ones in the movie.

It is a very entertaining set that children will truly enjoy so much that this item had to be pre-ordered because the one that my boys got was one of the last stocks. My sister wanted to get her son a set, and in case she does not get it before Christmas, my children and I are planning to give their Toy Story Tricounty Landfill Junkyard to my nephew as a Christmas gift. We have been looking for it and we hopefully will get one before Christmas.

Overall, the toy set looks quite complicated, especially for children from 3-6 years old. However, since the play happens when they follow the conveyor belts and make sure to remove the characters before they are ground, it could be quite simple. It develops the eye and hand coordination of children and at the same time enhances their reflexes.

I would recommend this toy to anybody with kids from 4. Although it can be played with by children from 3, there are small items that they might put in their mouth. Overall, however, the toy is safe. It does not really cost too much considering the name of the manufacturer, Fisher-Price and the name of the franchise, Toy Story. The Toy Story Tricounty Landfill Junkyard is well worth buying for your children.

After the huge success of Toy Story 3, and also because children consistently love toys with moving parts and bright colors, the Toy Story 3 Imaginext Tri Country Landfill is sure to be a hit this Christmas as your children re-enact the perils of Toy story 3 at the scary garbage dump.

At the most dramatic moment in the film the toys, who were terrified of being dumped ever since their owner Andy grew up, find themselves in the Tri Country Landfill despite all their best efforts. They face certain death at the incinerator, so have to fight their way out, and are eventually rescued by the loyal aliens via a great big crane claw!

The Fisher Price toy is well made, durable and safe without sharp edges. Moving parts are safe and there is plenty of space for exploring hands. The set itself comes with two conveyor belts, a dump basket and an incinerator, as well as the trusty crane complete with grappling hook. It works by a scoop lifting the toys onto a sorter on the conveyor belts, and as they move to be incinerated the crane can move to save them. Luckily it also comes with Buzz, Lotso-huggin’-Bear and the saviour aliens so that you can easily re-enact the scenes, and there are also additional characters of Jessie, big baby, slinky the dog and more to add to the collection sold separately.

If you want to expend your collection even further, there is the companion toy of the Sanitation Garbage Truck which includes another cute alien and Sherriff Woody. If you play with it, your child can easily drive it around and scoop the toys into it, and then dump them at the landfill play set. Then the drama really begins as your child uses the landfill playset.

Your child is sure to love the moving parts and bright colours, even if they personally have not watched Toy Story before. But this toy really comes into its own as a way for fans of the film to express their love of it and the characters while having lots of fun. Soon your child will be adding their own toys to the mix and experimenting. They’re sure to love the Toy Story 3 Imaginext Tri Country Landfill this Christmas.

The figures that come with this set are made of a hard plastic, perfect for kids of any age. There are a few small parts, therefore, it is not recommended for children under the age of three. Other small pieces are included as "junk" to send to the incinerator as part of all the fun. Assembly is required for setting up the play structure and applying the stickers as well.

For parents, one of the greatest things about the Toy Story Tri-county Landfill Junkyard is that there are no lights or sounds with this play structure. Children will have hours of imaginative play that will require them to make their own sounds and stories to go along with their fun.
